POSITION TITLE: SITE SUPERVISOR
Core Responsibilities: The Site Supervisor plays a crucial role in supporting the Owner/Program Director in managing the childcare facility.
Experience Requirements: A minimum of 5 years in a supervisory role within a childcare setting is required.
General Role Description: The Site Supervisor will oversee the childcare and developmental program at a single location, ensuring quality care, growth, and education for children. This role includes coordinating curriculum and facilitating staff development while assisting the Program Director/Owner as necessary.
Compensation:$27 per hour
Key Responsibilities:Staff Management:
- Identify and recommend staffing needs to the director/owner proactively.
- Design and oversee a high-quality early childhood educational curriculum, approved by the Director/Owner.
- Conduct weekly staff meetings and address urgent matters as they arise.
- Facilitate monthly in-service training for staff, utilizing community resources when appropriate.
- Ensure the Child Care Center's goals and objectives are consistently met.
- Organize staff responsibilities for maintaining cleanliness and upkeep of the facility.
- Document staff performance and conduct evaluations.
- Manage daily schedules for all staff members.
- Implement a robust outreach program to maintain full enrollment.
Facility and Site Oversight:
- Ensure compliance with licensing requirements and keep all certifications current.
- Oversee maintenance of the building and equipment, including necessary record-keeping.
- Adhere to Title 22, Title 5, and Health and Safety regulations daily.
Classroom and Staff Duties:
- Conduct educational sessions in a structured and nurturing environment.
- Deliver curriculum subjects using approved methods and materials under the guidance of school administration.
- Supervise and mentor teaching staff assigned to the classroom.
- Assist new daycare staff with training and orientation.
- Maintain organization within the classroom, including supplies and equipment.
- Handle monthly billing processes in collaboration with the office.
- Keep accurate attendance records and follow up on absences.
- Prepare lesson plans and progress reports for all children.
- Conduct biannual parent conferences.
- Attend and prepare for parent meetings and open houses.
- Coordinate weekly meetings with the program director, documenting essential information for staff meetings.
- Be prepared to work additional hours as needed.
- Manage food program responsibilities as outlined in attached roles.
- Ensure compliance with CCTR and CSPP contracts, meeting deadlines and accuracy in documentation.
- Plan and execute annual events for staff and children.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Essential Qualifications for Site Supervisor:
- A Bachelor's degree or higher, including 24 ECE/CD units with core courses, 6 administration units, and 2 adult supervision units.
- Possession of a current Site Supervisor Permit or Program Director Permit issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing is mandatory.
Additional Considerations:
- The Site Supervisor must be capable of performing light physical tasks and lifting children weighing between 14 to 30 pounds. The role requires bending, crouching, and other physical activities to meet the needs of the children.
- Ability to maintain composure under pressure and manage stress effectively is essential.
