POSITION SUMMARY
Under the guidance of the Chief Program Officer (or their appointed Director), the Program Supervisor I is tasked with various responsibilities aimed at maintaining the quality and compliance of the St. John's Community Health Programs Department. This role is essential for providing exceptional service to patients, staff, and funding organizations. The Program Supervisor I will oversee one or more service programs in areas such as 1) Behavioral Health, 2) HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis, and other STIs, 3) Homeless Services, 4) Street Medicine (mobile health), 5) Domestic Violence, 6) Transgender Health, 7) Harm Reduction and Health Promotion, 8) Family Services, 9) Criminal Justice Involved Individuals and Families, 10) CalAIM, and 11) Other Public Health related programs.
The Program Supervisor I will collaborate across various departments at St. John's Community Health, including but not limited to Medical Clinics, Finance, Human Resources, Quality Assurance, Compliance, and Information Technology, to effectively coordinate and manage all logistical and human resources necessary to meet or exceed the contractual and regulatory requirements of the supervised programs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Program Supervisor I will perform a combination of the following duties:
- Oversee recruitment, supervision, performance evaluations, and professional development of assigned staff, which may include Community Health Workers, Counselors, Clinicians, and support personnel.
- Ensure staff and patient safety through effective oversight of facility maintenance.
- Conduct regular audits, maintain records, and ensure documentation complies with all applicable policies, contractual obligations, and regulatory standards.
- Assist in the development and submission of various reports, including Quality Assurance and performance improvement reports.
- Expand referral networks through consistent outreach and networking activities.
- Participate in training sessions and educational workshops.
- Attend all mandatory staff meetings and communicate effectively with team members regarding patient and staff matters.
- Exemplify professionalism in dress, language, attitude, and behavior, serving as a role model for staff and patients.
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of and commitment to St. John's Mission, Vision, and Core Values.
- Document services rendered in the medical record as appropriate.
- Engage in medical record reviews and other reporting activities.
- Stay informed about current legal standards relevant to professional practice and mandated reporting.
- Attend clinical and administrative meetings as required.
- Represent St. John's at community events, presentations, and outreach activities.
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Public Health, Sociology, or a related field is preferred. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in a grant-funded social service or medical program within an integrated health setting.
- Bilingual candidates are preferred.
