Position Summary:
We are seeking an Automotive Sales Consultant who is ready to elevate their career in a dynamic environment. This role involves selling and leasing both new and pre-owned vehicles while meeting dealership standards for gross profit, volume, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conducts thorough vehicle profiles, silent walkarounds, and demonstration drives with every potential customer.
  • Achieves a minimum sales target of 10 units per month while maintaining a 90-day average of 12 units to qualify for sales contests.
  • Welcomes customers into the dealership, offering assistance and guidance as needed.
  • Engages with customers to help them select the right vehicle by asking insightful questions and attentively listening to their responses.
  • Thoroughly explains product performance, applications, and benefits to potential buyers.
  • Informs customers about all available optional equipment for purchase.
  • Encourages test drives for all interested prospects, ensuring proper identification is obtained beforehand.
  • Utilizes the VinSolutions prospecting and follow-up system to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Understands and adheres to all federal, state, and local regulations governing retail automotive sales.
  • Sets personal income goals aligned with dealership productivity standards and develops strategies to achieve them.
  • Participates in product and sales training sessions as directed by Sales Managers.
  • Stays informed about new products, features, and accessories, ensuring that Sales Managers have the opportunity to meet each customer.
  • Submits all closed deals to the Finance and Insurance Manager with complete and accurate paperwork.
  • Completes sales orders and processes necessary documentation in accordance with dealership policies.
  • Delivers vehicles to customers, ensuring they understand the vehicle's features, warranty, and related paperwork.
  • Introduces customers to service department personnel, highlighting the quality and efficiency of available services.
  • Follows up on all post-delivery items to ensure customer satisfaction and address any special requests.
  • Maintains a system for owner follow-up to encourage repeat and referral business.
  • Reviews and assesses performance regularly to optimize time management and planning.
  • Maintains a professional appearance at all times.

Qualifications:

  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude.
  • Competitive spirit and strong work ethic.
  • Prior experience in automotive sales is preferred but not required.

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Must possess a valid sales license.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • Manufacturer certification must be maintained at a minimum level.
