Automotive Sales Specialist

Position Summary:
We are seeking an Automotive Sales Consultant who will be responsible for selling and leasing new and used vehicles while meeting dealership profit, volume, and customer satisfaction standards.
- Conducts comprehensive vehicle presentations and test drives with every customer.
- Achieves a minimum sales target of 10 units per month while maintaining a 90-day average of 12 units.
- Welcomes customers entering the dealership and offers assistance.
- Engages with customers to understand their needs and preferences, providing detailed information about vehicle performance and features.
- Explains optional equipment available for purchase.
- Facilitates test drives, ensuring proper identification is obtained beforehand.
- Utilizes a prospecting and follow-up system to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Maintains knowledge of federal, state, and local laws governing automotive sales.
- Sets personal income goals aligned with dealership productivity standards and develops strategies to achieve them.
- Participates in training sessions as directed by management.
- Stays informed about new products and their benefits to customers.
- Completes necessary paperwork accurately and efficiently.
- Ensures customers are well-informed about their vehicle's features and warranty upon delivery.
- Introduces customers to service department personnel, emphasizing the quality of service available.
- Follows up on post-delivery items to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Maintains a system for prospect development and follow-up.
- Regularly reviews performance metrics to optimize time management and productivity.
- Upholds a professional appearance at all times.
Qualifications:
- Self-motivated with a positive attitude.
- Competitive spirit and strong work ethic.
- Previous experience in sales is preferred but not mandatory.
Licenses and Certifications:
- Must maintain a valid sales license.
- A valid driver's license is required.
- Manufacturer certification must be kept at a minimum level.
