Job Overview:
The Automotive Appearance Specialist is responsible for cleaning and refurbishing both new and used vehicles, adhering to dealership and manufacturer specifications and time allowances.

Compensation:
***Between $12.00 to $14.00 per hour based on experience***

Key Responsibilities:

  • Thoroughly washes vehicle exteriors, cleans interior and exterior windows, and wipes down doorjambs. Applies wax to the vehicle body and buffs the surface to a shine.
  • Vacuums the interiors of vehicles to eliminate loose dirt and debris.
  • Cleans upholstery, carpets, and other surfaces using appropriate cleaning agents and tools.
  • Applies revitalizers and protective agents to interior vinyl or leather surfaces and treats fabrics with stain-resistant chemicals.
  • Utilizes steam-cleaning equipment and various cleaning agents to clean engines and engine compartments, applying specialized cleaners as needed.
  • Inspects vehicles for visible defects, such as dents, scratches, and torn upholstery.
  • Restores the appearance of engine areas, carpets, and painted surfaces using touch-up paint and other materials.
  • Ensures proper safety measures are followed when using cleaning products. Fills vehicles with fuel as necessary.
  • Applies dressing to tires and tire wells, and replaces any missing or defective small parts.
  • Maintains the showroom and stock vehicles in a clean and presentable condition at all times.
  • Removes all window stickers from sold vehicles and keeps the work area organized and tidy.
  • Operates all tools and equipment safely and reports any safety concerns to management immediately.
Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, candidates must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The following qualifications are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required:
  • Basic automotive knowledge is required.
  • Previous experience in detailing is preferred, along with familiarity with the detailing process and equipment.
  • A valid driver's license is required to perform essential job functions.
