Job Summary

Washington University in St. Louis seeks a highly motivated and detail-oriented Clinical Service Representative II to provide exceptional patient support in a fast-paced medical office setting. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering outstanding customer service, ensuring seamless patient experiences, and contributing to the overall success of our clinical operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Patient Greeting and Registration: Greet patients warmly, verify their insurance and demographic information, and provide necessary forms and documentation.
  • Scheduling and Coordination: Schedule appointments, verify patient information, and coordinate with healthcare providers to ensure timely and efficient care.
  • Financial Transactions: Collect co-payments, verify and balance receipts and payments, and reconcile fee tickets with daily schedules.
  • Communication and Follow-up: Call patients to confirm appointment times, obtain insurance information, and send reminders and notifications as needed.
  • Chart Preparation and Maintenance: Prepare patient charts for daily appointments, update records as necessary, and maintain accurate and up-to-date patient information.
  • Insurance and Billing Support: Assist patients with insurance-related questions, provide billing information, and resolve any issues or concerns.
Working Conditions:

This role requires working in a normal office environment with occasional exposure to blood-borne pathogens. Protective devices are provided to ensure a safe working environment. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced setting, multitask, and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Requirements:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent high school certification.
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support - American Heart Association, Basic Life Support - American Red Cross, Basic Life Support - CPR St Louis.
  • Work Experience: Medical Office Setting (2 Years).
  • Skills: Communication, Computer Literacy, Insurance, Interpersonal Relationships, Medical Terminology.
