Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Registration and Scheduling: Greet patients, register new and return patients, and schedule appointments in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Insurance Verification and Referrals: Verify patient insurance coverage, obtain referrals as needed, and ensure accurate and up-to-date registration information.
  • Cash Handling and Collections: Collect copays, self-pay payments, and fees for services, and balance the cash drawer daily.
  • Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to the clinical team, including data entry, filing, and other tasks as needed.
  • Communication and Customer Service: Respond to patient inquiries, resolve issues, and provide exceptional customer service in a professional and courteous manner.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support certification required within one month of hire date.
  • Experience: 3 years of experience in a billing systems and third-party claims environment, or related customer service experience.
  • Skills: Financial information, insurance, and interpersonal relationships.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Education: No additional education beyond high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certifications: No additional certification beyond Basic Life Support.
  • Experience: No additional experience beyond 3 years in billing systems and third-party claims environment.
