Amentum is actively seeking dedicated Security Access Coordinators.

Role Overview: The ideal candidate will possess a Secret clearance and have a solid background in managing access to facilities that handle sensitive U.S. Government information. The Security Access Coordinator will oversee the access control point, ensuring thorough screening of personnel and materials entering secure areas, while also conducting patrols to uphold compliance with established security protocols.

Work Schedule: This position requires flexibility, as shifts operate on a rotating basis. Candidates should be prepared to work various shifts as operational needs dictate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting detailed inspections of individuals and vehicles to prevent unauthorized access and the introduction of prohibited items to the site.
  • Assisting in the assignment and monitoring of daily activities for the Access Control Officer team.
  • Documenting incidents as necessary for reporting to the Access Control Officer Lead.
  • Implementing the Contractors Site Safety Plan in relation to access control activities.
  • Managing and coordinating multiple tasks for a team of Access Control Officers.
  • Engaging professionally with senior program leadership to address concerns and propose solutions.
  • Supervising large teams and evaluating personnel performance.
  • Exhibiting strong interpersonal skills to effectively resolve conflicts and manage diverse personalities.
  • Demonstrating excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Possessing a solid understanding of construction safety protocols.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, maintaining alertness and attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated with a commitment to ongoing education in security industry standards.
  • Providing training and mentorship to entry-level personnel.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Active Secret Clearance.
  • At least one year of experience in construction surveillance, technical surveillance countermeasures, or industrial/government security.

Physical Requirements: Candidates must meet the physical demands of the role, including the ability to stand and walk for 8-12 hours, navigate uneven surfaces, lift up to 25 pounds, and make sound decisions in a construction environment.
