Project Coordinator, Purple X Initiative

Position Summary
The Project Coordinator for the Purple X Initiative collaborates with the Special Projects Team and reports directly to the Special Projects Director. This role is essential in formulating and executing innovative processes and policies that facilitate the successful completion and adherence to project-related activities. The Project Coordinator will work closely with stakeholders, including funding organizations, and will conduct workshops and events throughout the year. In addition to these programs, this individual will assist in devising effective recruitment strategies, compiling reports, analyzing data, and implementing program enhancements. It is imperative that all established processes and policies are consistently followed. This position involves handling sensitive and confidential information and representing the organization in various capacities. Candidates must exhibit sound judgment, approachability, professionalism, strong problem-solving capabilities, multitasking abilities, self-motivation, and exceptional organizational skills while maintaining strict confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Special Projects Director in managing the Purple X Initiative by identifying and establishing goals for various project components and monitoring outcomes for necessary adjustments.
- Collaborate with Link Further from the Vent Program for the comprehensive management of the Purple X Initiative, engaging with licensed clinical therapists, educational institutions, young adults, and other professional organizations.
- Ensure that the daily operations of the Purple X Initiative and special projects meet output targets and optimize desired outcomes to enhance operational efficiency.
- In conjunction with the Special Projects Director, plan various phases of project design, implementation, and compliance by prioritizing and organizing activities and resources to meet project objectives and assist in recruiting participants for the Vent Program and additional workshops.
- Conduct data collection and analysis.
- Identify potential challenges and technical issues, proposing solutions for review by the Special Projects Director.
- Design, implement, track, and report trends related to assigned project goals and objectives to foster growth and operational efficiency in future initiatives.
- Engage in training and professional development to maintain technical integrity and compliance with policies and procedures related to assigned projects.
- Participate in project design meetings and suggest improvements as necessary.
- Manage project-related documentation, ensuring all materials are current and organized; promote awareness of all organizational services within the community.
- Align new projects with the organization's mission and ensure consistency with the agency's messaging and branding.
- Maintain records and data systems for tracking project compliance and evaluating/reporting results.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities
This position assists in supervising ongoing and special projects but does not have direct supervisory authority over staff. However, it involves overseeing program participants aged 14 to 24 and managing volunteer contributions.
Work Environment
The employee primarily works in an office setting that ranges from quiet to moderately loud, depending on the area. Some local travel may be required, including overnight stays. The role requires sitting, using hands, standing, walking, talking, and listening while performing duties. General office equipment, including personal computers, scanners, copiers, faxes, and smartphones, is utilized.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee may occasionally be required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to manipulate objects, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, talk or hear, and taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 20 pounds and possess normal hearing and vision capabilities.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work/Travel
This is a two-year assignment, with the possibility of reduction or extension based on funding and organizational needs. This professional position requires a full-time work week, as designated by the organization's employee handbook, with potential for longer hours, including evenings and weekends. The regular work schedule is Tuesday through Saturday. Occasional long-distance travel may be necessary, and reliable transportation is required.
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Social Services or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of successful project administration or coordination experience in a nonprofit or analytical environment.
- At least 3 years of experience in community engagement and organizing.
Preferred Education & Experience
- Master's degree in a relevant area is a plus.
- Experience in a nonprofit, social service organization, or community-based organization.
- Experience working with diverse socioeconomic populations.
- Understanding of the local community's history and unique characteristics.
- Bilingual abilities, particularly in English and Spanish, are strongly preferred.
