Chassis Systems Application Specialist

Position Overview:

Our esteemed client is in search of a Chassis Systems Application Specialist. This role is designed to facilitate the communication of engineering designs and technical specifications between engineering teams in different regions.

This position will play a pivotal role in ensuring that programs adhere to technical specifications and are executed within budget and on schedule.

This role is expected to be primarily remote, with occasional travel to customer sites in the UK Midlands and France. Additional travel to various EU locations may also be necessary.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Gather and disseminate program technical specifications to the global engineering team for chassis components.
  • Serve as the main technical liaison for customers and participate in regular client meetings.
  • Collaborate with the program manager to align customer timelines for design finalization, testing, and tooling release.
  • Relay timelines from the program manager to the customer.
  • Assist the sales team by providing the latest technical updates for proposal completion.
  • Support engineering and sales in tracking pre-production deliveries.
  • Contribute to the creation of engineering documentation as necessary.
  • Coordinate weekly meetings to discuss project timelines and updates.
  • Communicate project updates to customers as required.
  • Review technical drawings to assess if designs meet specified targets.
  • Support production launches by attending customer facilities as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in automotive product development.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Teams and Office, with the ability to interpret 3D models and technical drawings.
  • Certificates & Licenses: None required.
  • Other Requirements: Proficiency in English; willingness to travel as needed for on-site meetings.
