Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Alarm Systems Specialist to join our team at Jobot. As a key member of our technical staff, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of fire alarm and life safety systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the servicing of fire alarm and life safety systems, ensuring compliance with local and national codes and regulations.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems, programming of fire alarm systems, schematics, and operational/product manuals.
  • Execute all work in accordance with company health and safety policies and procedures, as well as industry best practices.
  • Communicate and work with team members to improve overall operations and respond to customer service calls, scheduled maintenance calls, and emergency service calls in a timely manner.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, replace defective parts, and debug systems for routine problems, and install projects as necessary.
  • Complete accurate and detailed service reports for customers to allow for accurate invoicing and job cost tracking.
  • Utilize solid troubleshooting skills to isolate and fix problems in malfunctioning equipment or software.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in installing, programming, testing, repairing, and/or servicing fire alarm and life safety systems.
  • Valid driver's license required for local travel to job sites.
  • Employment contingent upon successful completion of background investigation and pre-employment drug screen.
Preferred Qualifications
  • NICET certification a plus.
  • Fire alarm product/manufacture certifications a plus.
