Control Systems Research Specialist

Position Overview:

  • Design, develop, assess, and validate control systems for autonomous vehicle operations
  • Work collaboratively with diverse teams to refine control methodologies and integrate various sensors and actuators
  • Plan, implement, and manage New Mobility projects in partnership with internal and external stakeholders

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assess technologies and product designs to ensure alignment with corporate standards and client expectations
  • Conduct research initiatives applying the principles of mechanics, electronics, and materials science
  • Assist in the ideation process and identify technological gaps for future research and development
  • Analyze engineering outcomes, recommend product modifications, and uphold project timelines
  • Provide engineering assistance to other departments and remain informed about industry advancements

Essential Qualifications:

  • 0-2 years of experience in the automotive sector
  • Experience in vehicle evaluation of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and Autonomous Driving (AD) technologies
  • Solid grounding in control theory, dynamics, and kinematics
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering
  • Strong interpersonal abilities and eagerness to acquire new technological skills

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience in the design and testing of ADAS technologies
  • Familiarity with automotive development tools such as CANape, CANalyzer, and Matlab/Simulink
  • Understanding of ADAS/AD systems and their operational limits
  • Proficiency in both spoken and written English
  • A valid driver's license is required

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Employees may occasionally need to operate test vehicles, necessitating a valid driver's license and meeting physical and mental fitness standards for driving. Job responsibilities include sitting, standing, computer work, and visual focus adjustments.
