A keen eye for detail, exceptional organizational abilities, and adherence to regulatory standards are essential for success in this role.
Compensation:$15 - $20/hr
Key Responsibilities:- Assess mortgage applications for thoroughness and precision
- Gather and structure necessary documentation
- Authenticate applicant details, including employment, income, and credit history
- Coordinate with loan officers and underwriters
- Ensure adherence to industry regulations and internal policies
- Manage timelines to fulfill processing requirements
- Deliver outstanding customer service and respond to inquiries
- Address discrepancies and challenges during the application process
- Conduct quality assurance checks on loan files
- Calculate debt-to-income ratios and evaluate loan eligibility
- Prepare loan documentation for underwriting assessment
- Stay informed about current lending guidelines and regulations
- Update borrowers on the status of their loan applications
- Facilitate the sending of documents, including HOI/Payoffs, Appraisals, and Pest reports
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in mortgage processing
- Strong understanding of mortgage products, underwriting protocols, and regulations
- Excellent organizational and communication capabilities
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment
