As a Cloud Systems Specialist II, your role will involve the design, implementation, and upkeep of high-performance, reliable systems tailored to meet our clients' operational and budgetary needs. The ideal candidate will possess substantial expertise in Microsoft cloud solutions (Azure and Microsoft 365), Windows Server, shared storage, and/or networking.

Your Impact:
  • Project Implementation: Execute IT projects for clients, constructing and deploying systems in Microsoft’s cloud (Azure and Microsoft 365), on-premises, and co-hosting environments.
  • Service Management: Effectively oversee service requests, ensuring comprehensive and precise updates, including next steps. Schedule, investigate, resolve, and route service requests as necessary, escalating as per established protocols and timelines.
  • Troubleshooting: Deliver remote and on-site troubleshooting, utilizing appropriate tools to identify and resolve issues with client systems. Ensure adherence to service level agreements (SLAs) and operational level agreements (OLAs) while following established best practices.
  • Adaptability: Demonstrate the ability to swiftly adjust to new topics, technologies, and processes to meet emerging IT demands and opportunities for our clients.
  • Security and Compliance: Establish and maintain robust security protocols to safeguard client data and systems against unauthorized access, breaches, and cyber threats. Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations, such as NIST, GDPR, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS where applicable.
  • Disaster Recovery and Continuity: Formulate and sustain disaster recovery and business continuity strategies for client systems. Regularly test and refine these plans to ensure their effectiveness during incidents.
  • Performance Optimization: Assess systems by monitoring performance, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing enhancements to boost efficiency and reliability. Utilize monitoring tools and analytics to proactively address potential issues before they affect clients.
  • Vendor Coordination: Collaborate with third-party vendors and service providers to ensure seamless integration of their solutions with client systems.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of client environments and technical processes, procedures, and solutions for knowledge sharing and future reference. Assist in creating user guides, training materials, and technical documentation.

Desired Qualifications:
  • Education: Degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert, and/or other vendor certifications are highly desirable.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years' experience required
    • Demonstrated experience as a Systems Engineer, Systems Administrator, or in a similar capacity, with a strong emphasis on Microsoft technologies.
    • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure, including Entra ID (Azure Active Directory), Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Storage, and Azure Networking.
    • Experience with Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and Teams.
    • Strong understanding of Windows Server operating systems, including Active Directory, Group Policy, and PowerShell scripting.
    • Knowledge of networking principles, including TCP/IP, VLAN, VPN, and firewall configuration.
    • Willingness to travel to client locations as necessary and to work outside of standard business hours when required.
    • Familiarity with virtualization technologies, such as Hyper-V and VMware.
    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities, with the capacity to troubleshoot complex technical challenges.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and service requests concurrently.
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
