Position Summary:
Nationwide IT Services (NIS) is in search of a Senior Acquisition Program Analyst with expertise in acquisition life cycle logistics to provide support for a pivotal Air Force initiative under the Secretary of the Air Force for Acquisition (SAF/AQ).

The role aims to deliver specialized knowledge that enhances the organization's existing capabilities, ensuring effective mission execution, fostering innovation, and improving technical proficiency. The contractor will engage in comprehensive acquisition and sustainment activities as required by the respective Government entities.

Note: This position allows for telework, with an expectation of on-site presence 2-3 days per week, subject to mission demands. An active TS Clearance with SCI eligibility is mandatory.

SAF/AQD, under the Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Logistics and Product Support, oversees all aspects related to product support, supply chain management, and the maintenance of military equipment, ensuring operational readiness of weapon systems. AQD formulates strategies, policies, and guidelines while serving as the primary liaison with Congress, OSD, and other military branches on product support initiatives.

The Senior Acquisition Program Analyst must possess extensive knowledge of the DoD acquisition life cycle, along with project management and research analysis skills. Experience in product support, logistics planning, acquisition, and sustainment programs is essential.

  • Organizing and evaluating documentation, briefings, reports, and other materials using Microsoft Office tools.
  • Assisting in the development and execution of methods, procedures, and best practices related to product support and logistics.
  • Preparing briefings, reports, and responses for senior DAF and DoD entities.
  • Contributing to the review and dissemination of Air Force policies across various functional areas.
  • Analyzing requirements and acquisition strategies, providing insights on program documentation and execution.
  • Delivering unbiased evaluations of programs nearing milestone decisions and weapon system documentation.
  • Researching logistics and product support trends, identifying challenges, and proposing solutions.
  • Supporting the preparation of materials for legislative hearings and ensuring a cohesive Air Force stance on inquiries.
  • Assisting in the HAF review process, collaborating with auditors on findings and ensuring proper follow-up.
  • Managing confidential and classified information and communications.
  • Performing additional tasks as directed by the Contracting Officer Representative (COR).

Qualifications:
  • Active TS Clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • Master's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in Acquisition and Life Cycle Acquisition within a System Program Office or Air Force Headquarters.
  • Strong understanding of DoD protocols.
  • Proficiency in project management, research analysis, and experience in product support and logistics.
  • Familiarity with MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.
  • Relevant work experience may substitute for educational qualifications as per contract stipulations.
Work Experience Substitutions:
12 years of relevant experience may replace a Master's degree.
A Bachelor's degree plus 8 years of relevant experience may substitute for a Master's degree.
