Overview:
Our organization is seeking a Senior Cyber Intelligence Analyst specializing in Open Source and Dark Web investigations, requiring a DOD Top Secret clearance.

Role Summary:

The Investigative Analyst will utilize open-source and commercial software tools to gather, evaluate, and compile data from a wide array of open and closed web sources. This includes, but is not limited to, news articles, blogs, social media, paste sites, government portals, forums, and onion sites.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Intelligence Collection and Evaluation:

    Analyze information from diverse sources to uncover investigative leads and intelligence that support various programs, including cybercrime, narcotics, identity theft, hazardous materials, and workplace safety.

  • Data Assessment:

    Critically evaluate online information from social media, forums, the dark web, news feeds, and other publicly accessible data to identify reliable information.

  • Prioritization of Findings:

    Conduct assessments to highlight the most significant and credible data, identifying bitcoins, locations, accounts, services, travel patterns, email addresses, IP addresses, and other lifestyle indicators for determining the physical identity behind online personas.

  • Reporting:

    Develop comprehensive intelligence and investigative reports detailing the methodologies employed, data sources examined, and conclusions reached from the analysis.

  • Utilization of Cyber Intelligence Tools:

    Demonstrate proficiency in using cyber intelligence and software tools to explore and extract information from both the public internet and the dark web.

  • Understanding Criminal Methodologies:

    Possess an advanced understanding of how criminals conceal their identities online, conduct illicit business, and navigate various cybercrime marketplaces and forums.

  • Blockchain Analysis:

    Utilize both paid and open-source tools for blockchain analysis, tracing financial transactions, and producing detailed reports on findings.

  • Data Visualization:

    Experience in presenting analytical results using tabular, graphical, or pictorial formats for clarity and comprehension.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in intelligence operations related to cybercrime, cryptocurrency, open-source intelligence, and dark web analysis.
  • 10+ years of professional experience.
  • Proficient in using cyber intelligence tools for data mining and analysis.
  • Knowledge of dark web dynamics and cryptocurrency exchange navigation.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a strong ability to collaborate effectively.
  • Top-Secret Clearance is mandatory.
  • Experience in cryptocurrency tracing and law enforcement investigations.
  • Familiarity with visualization tools such as MicroStrategy, Tableau, or i2 Analyst Notebook.
  • Strong attention to detail and exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

Work Arrangement:
Hybrid work model with a combination of remote and in-office days.

Security Clearance:
Top-Secret Clearance Required.
