Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing and managing accounts payable transactions, ensuring accurate and timely payments to vendors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and manage accounts payable transactions in QuickBooks (transitioning to SAGE in the near future).
  • Match invoices to purchase orders and verify approvals for payments.
  • Assist in preparing payment runs (checks, ACH, wire transfers).
  • Maintain and update vendor files, ensuring accurate records.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
  • Assist in month-end closing activities related to AP.
  • Provide support to the AP Manager and Assistant Controller as needed.
  • Perform data entry and clerical duties associated with AP.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field (required).
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and other advanced functions).
  • Experience with QuickBooks is a plus; willingness to learn SAGE during transition.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
