Position Overview: The Hematopoietic Cell Transplant Coordinator is integral to the operations of the hematopoietic cell transplant (HCT) program, collaborating with a diverse team of healthcare professionals, including clinicians, care coordinators, data analysts, and physicians. This role is responsible for managing critical data registries and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Management: Oversee the reporting and analysis of intricate clinical data for the Center for International Blood and Marrow Transplant Registry (CIBMTR). Collaborate with the National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP) and the global scientific community to enhance HCT and cellular therapy research.
  • Data Interpretation: Extract and interpret a variety of clinical data to create comprehensive reports and tables that adhere to strict reporting standards and deadlines.
  • Registry Oversight: Manage and update the CIBMTR and NMDP data registries in real-time, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Quality Improvement: Assist in the development and illustration of quality improvement initiatives and compliance measures.
  • Data Collection: Manage data collection related to Cellular Therapies (Bone Marrow Transplant and CAR T-cell) and Cancer Center outcomes, preparing reports for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Master List Maintenance: Maintain and update essential master lists, distributing them to relevant agencies and preparing data presentations as needed.
  • Form Development: Develop and update data capture forms for timely submission to regulatory bodies, manufacturers, and insurers.
  • Educational Commitment: Participate in a minimum of ten hours of annual educational activities related to transplantation, cellular therapy, and quality management.
  • Quality Audits: Conduct quality audits for all program components to ensure compliance and excellence.
  • Data Analysis: Support the analysis and organization of quantitative clinical, financial, operational, and administrative data.
  • Data Entry: Responsible for entering and querying data related to bone marrow transplants.
  • Process Improvement: Engage in process improvement initiatives as necessary.
  • Meetings Participation: Attend required weekly, monthly, and quarterly meetings.
  • Additional Duties: Other responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Compensation: The position offers a competitive hourly wage.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: High School diploma or equivalent required. Preferred candidates will have completed college-level coursework in medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology, or possess equivalent experience in the allied health field, particularly in oncology.

Experience: No prior experience is required.

Licensure: No specific licensure is required.

Physical Requirements: This role primarily involves sedentary work with extensive use of desktop computers. Occasional travel may be required to attend meetings and programs.
