Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team at the Commonwealth of Virginia. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing expert nursing care to patients undergoing transplant procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care for patients undergoing transplant procedures.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families throughout the transplant process.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest transplant nursing practices and research.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited nursing program.
  • 2 years of relevant experience in transplant nursing.
  • Licensed to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification.
  • American Board of Transplant Coordinator Certification.
Physical Demands

The job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequent travel, bending/stooping, and the ability to lift/push/pull lbs. May be exposed to chemicals, blood/body fluids, and infectious disease.
