Position Summary: The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking qualified candidates to become part of the Stem Cell Transplant and Cellular Therapy Program within the Department of Medicine, specifically in the Division of Hematology/Oncology. This role is for an Open Rank, Open Track faculty position, offering avenues for advancement based on individual qualifications.
- Applicants should possess significant expertise in patient management with a focus on Bone Marrow and Stem Cell transplantation, as well as Cellular Therapies.
- The appointed individual will spearhead independent clinical research initiatives, leveraging the extensive resources available.
- Engagement in the education of fellows, residents, and medical students is a critical component of this position.
- Clinical responsibilities will encompass both inpatient and outpatient care, alongside participation in a multidisciplinary team approach within the Cancer Center.
- Familiarity with CAR T therapy is advantageous.
- Candidates must hold an MD or equivalent degree and be board-certified in Internal Medicine by the start of the appointment. Board certification or eligibility in Hematology and/or Medical Oncology is also required.
