About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) professional to join our team at First Quality. As a key member of our EHS department, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and leadership in the development, implementation, and maintenance of our EHS policies, procedures, and programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement EHS Policies and Procedures: Create, manage, and implement EHS policies and procedures that align with company goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct EHS Training and Awareness: Provide training and awareness programs to employees on EHS policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Conduct EHS Audits and Inspections: Conduct regular EHS audits and inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Investigate EHS Incidents: Investigate EHS incidents and develop corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Develop and Maintain EHS Programs: Develop and maintain EHS programs, including emergency response, hazardous waste management, and environmental compliance.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, maintenance, and engineering, to ensure EHS considerations are integrated into business decisions.
  • Stay Up-to-Date with Regulatory Requirements: Stay up-to-date with regulatory requirements and industry best practices to ensure compliance and identify opportunities for improvement.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as environmental science, occupational health and safety, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in EHS, with a strong background in regulatory compliance, hazard identification, and risk management.
  • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels of the organization. Proficiency in MS Office and other software applications, with experience in EHS management systems and data analysis.
  • Certifications: Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) certification preferred.
