Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced School Resource Officer to join our team at the State of Georgia. As a key member of our Education Transition Center (ETC) team, you will be responsible for maintaining security and order in the ETC.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the overall safety and security of the ETC throughout the school day.
- Perform a full range of assigned law enforcement duties, including but not limited to:
- Responding to incidents and emergencies
- Conducting investigations and gathering evidence
- Providing security and crowd control
- Collaborate with educators and staff to develop and implement safety protocols and procedures.
- Stay up-to-date with changing laws and regulations related to education and law enforcement.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in law enforcement or a related field.
- Valid driver's license and ability to pass a background check.
