Leave Administrator

Darigold is seeking a skilled Leave Administrator to manage the day-to-day operations of our workers compensation, leave of absence, and accommodation programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of FMLA, ADA, USERRA, and other relevant laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer leave management systems, including FMLA, USERRA, OFLA, Paid Leave Oregon, and WFLA.
  • Coordinate communication between employees, HR, Health & Safety, and third-party administrators.
  • Recommend leave absence management system enhancements to drive process improvement and seamless integration of leave programs.
  • Track data and provide analysis and reporting of metrics regarding leave utilization.
  • Communicate with employees, supervisors, and managers about leave types, entitlements, and other available benefits.
  • Serve as the internal contact for escalated claims issues and inquiries.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Human Resources Business Partners, and management on leave claims and return-to-work requirements.
  • Evaluate requests for accommodation under the Americans with Disabilities Act and temporary modified duty.
  • Engage with employees, supervisors, and managers to ensure established leave policies are administered correctly.
  • Provide leave of absence guidance and direction to employees, HR Partners, supervisors, managers, and payroll teams.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience managing leave of absence and workers' compensation claims.
  • Strong knowledge of FMLA, ADA, USERRA, HIPAA, and state-specific requirements.
  • Experience maintaining leave management systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage confidential information and communicate sensitive situations with tact and diplomacy.
  • Demonstrated judgment and decision-making skills to drive leave programs that are equitable and compliant with regulations.
