Job Title: Wholesale Outside Sales Representative
We are collaborating with a reputable supplier of premium lumber and construction materials, dedicated to serving the building sector with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction. Their diverse product offerings and tailored services position them as a reliable partner for contractors, builders, and developers across the region.
Position Overview:
We are in search of a motivated and results-oriented Wholesale Outside Sales Representative to become a vital part of our team. The successful candidate will possess a solid sales background, comprehensive knowledge of the lumber and construction materials market, and a genuine enthusiasm for fostering client relationships. This role encompasses prospecting, nurturing, and sustaining a strong customer base while promoting sales growth within a designated territory.
Core Responsibilities:
- Formulate and implement a strategic sales plan aimed at achieving and surpassing sales objectives within the assigned territory.
- Identify and engage potential clients in the construction and building materials sector, including builders, contractors, and developers.
- Establish and nurture robust relationships with current clients, ensuring exceptional levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Conduct regular sales visits, site assessments, and presentations to showcase the company's products and services.
- Provide clients with in-depth product knowledge, pricing details, and technical support as necessary.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams, including customer service, operations, and logistics, to guarantee timely and precise product delivery.
- Keep abreast of market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to pinpoint opportunities for growth and enhancement.
- Prepare and submit periodic sales reports, forecasts, and territory updates to management.
- Participate in industry trade shows, networking functions, and training programs to remain informed about industry developments and expand professional connections.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in outside sales, ideally within the lumber or building materials sector.
- Strong grasp of wholesale sales methodologies and the construction market.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building capabilities.
- Self-driven with a results-focused mindset and the ability to operate independently.
- Willingness to travel within the assigned territory as needed.
- Proficient in utilizing CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
