Job Title: Wholesale Outside Sales Representative

Position Overview:
We are in search of an energetic and results-oriented Wholesale Outside Sales Representative to become part of our team. The ideal candidate will possess a solid sales background, a comprehensive understanding of the lumber and construction materials market, and a strong desire to cultivate client relationships. This role entails identifying, developing, and sustaining a thriving customer base while promoting sales growth within a designated area.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Formulate and implement a strategic sales plan to meet and surpass sales objectives within the assigned region.
- Identify and engage potential clients in the construction and building materials sector, including builders, contractors, and developers.
- Establish and nurture strong relationships with current clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and loyalty.
- Conduct regular sales visits, site assessments, and presentations to showcase the company's products and services.
- Provide clients with product insights, pricing information, and technical support as necessary.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams, including customer service, operations, and logistics, to guarantee timely and precise product delivery.
- Stay informed on market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to uncover growth and enhancement opportunities.
- Prepare and present regular sales reports, forecasts, and territory updates to management.
- Participate in industry trade shows, networking events, and training sessions to remain updated on industry developments and expand professional connections.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in outside sales, ideally within the lumber or building materials sector.
- Strong grasp of wholesale sales methodologies and the construction market.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
- Self-driven with a results-focused approach and the capability to work autonomously.
- Willingness to travel within the designated territory as needed.
- Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
