Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the daily work and safety of associates engaged in building, grounds, sanitation, refrigeration systems, power industrial equipment, and security maintenance.
  • Lead the development and implementation of facility projects, ensuring quality and timely completion.
  • Train associates on preferred work methods and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Perform management functions, including staff selection, development, discipline, performance reviews, and terminations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with third-party vendors, ensuring efficient operations and communication.
  • Manage the selection, purchase, utilization, and inventory of company assets in support of the facilities department.
  • Prepare budget, profit plans, and capital requests as required.
  • Comply with local, state, and federal regulatory agencies, conducting audits and ensuring accurate documentation.
  • Coordinate efforts with the Safety department to aid in training, associate observations, and routine safety inspections.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of maintenance management experience.
  • Working knowledge of ammonia and Freon systems.
  • Working knowledge of environmental regulations and governing bodies.
  • Good interpersonal skills to establish and maintain co-worker relationships.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
  • Strong problem-solving and organization skills with a focus on meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills and strong leadership.
  • Ability to manage multiple functions simultaneously in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certificate, licenses, and registrations in refrigeration/HVAC.
  • Level 1 Ammonia Operation Certification.
  • Powered Industrial Equipment Certification.
  • Certificate in fleet trade/mechanic.
Work Environment

This role will require occasional work in an office setting and frequent work inside and outside the distribution center in various climates.

Travel

10% travel required, typically for mandatory meetings and/or training.Education

High school diploma or GED required.Compensation

Compensation depends on experience, geographic locations, and other factors permitted by law. In Washington, the expected compensation for this role is between $90,000 and $115,000. This role is also eligible for incentive pay.
