Role Overview:

The Linen Processing Associate is responsible for the meticulous sorting, washing, and drying of linens while adhering to established infection control protocols.

Reports To: Housekeeping Supervisor

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Sorts and weighs soiled linens for processing.
  2. Operates washer-extractors, selecting suitable wash formulas and cycles.
  3. Transfers clean linens for drying and folding after washing.
  4. Loads dryers with clean linens, choosing appropriate cycles and durations.
  5. Unloads dryers and prepares linens for pressing and folding.
  6. Maintains records of soiled linen weights.
  7. Moves processed linens to storage for distribution.
  8. Monitors laundry equipment and chemical dispensers.
  9. Maintains cleanliness of lint traps and trough screens.
  10. Assists in training new team members.
  11. Completes daily cleaning tasks as assigned.
  12. Follows established Standards of Behavior and Code of Conduct.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

Physical and Sensory Demands:

  • Involves walking, standing, and various lifting/carrying tasks.
  • Requires bending, stooping, and twisting motions.
  • May involve repetitive movements and climbing as necessary.

Working Conditions:

  • Indoor and outdoor environments with exposure to varying temperatures and potential hazards.
  • Collaboration with others and occasional independent work.
  • Varied hours with potential for overtime.

  • Compensation Type: Hourly

Physical Exposures:
