Job Summary

As a Business Operations Manager at Goldfish Swim School - Greenville, you will oversee the daily operations of our swim school, ensuring that we maintain the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction. Your responsibilities will include managing staff, pool operations, cash management, customer service, retail and vending departments, private party operations, and workplace employee activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and control daily operations to ensure compliance with GSS standard operating procedures.
  • Manage staff to ensure high productivity, excellent performance, and positive employee satisfaction.
  • Train and manage the aquatics department to provide superior swim instruction to our students.
  • Interact with Deck Supervisors on issues related to class scheduling, student progress, customer service, and employee performance and training.
  • Provide sales and marketing training for all qualified sales staff.
  • Manage the retail and vending department, including inventory control, product mix, and pricing.
  • Train and oversee private party staff to ensure adherence to GSS standard operating procedures.
  • Gain knowledge and experience in scheduling software to achieve competence in bookings, class scheduling, reporting, and administrative functions.
  • Maintain a safe and sanitary swimming environment by gaining knowledge and experience in GSS pool operations.
  • Initiate and oversee workplace employee activities to improve employee satisfaction.
  • Direct and oversee the implementation of the Emergency Action Plan (EAP) and all safety procedures.
  • Maintain current certifications and stay up-to-date professionally in the aquatics and management field.
  • Schedule staff and approve timesheets for Regional Manager to manage payroll.
  • Promote special events and market the Goldfish brand.
  • Collaborate with Regional Manager on partnerships, influencer packages, marketing, social media, community brand awareness, quality control, safety protocols, staff training, programming, sales, services, and operations.
  • Work a flexible schedule, including weekdays, evenings, and weekends.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, communications, or equivalent desired.
  • Experience as a youth sports instructor/coach, camp counselor, or aquatics instructor/supervisor preferred.
  • Three to five years of management experience preferred.
  • Lifeguard, CPR/AED, and First Aid certifications required.
Work Environment

While performing this job, the employee is regularly exposed to heat and humidity. Noise level is usually moderate.
