About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Database Administrator to join our team at CorVel Corporation. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our database systems to ensure optimal performance and security.

Key Responsibilities
  • Database Administration: Ensure the availability, recovery, and performance of our database systems, including Microsoft SQL Server infrastructure.
  • Performance Tuning: Optimize database performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement security measures to ensure data integrity.
  • Database Maintenance: Maintain all databases, including Development, QA, and Production environments, and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Collaboration: Work with business users, developers, and infrastructure teams to ensure quality products and services.
  • Documentation: Document database maintenance procedures and ensure that all team members are aware of best practices.
Requirements
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in database administration of complex production SQL Server database environments.
  • Knowledge: Thorough understanding of Relational Databases, T-SQL Scripting, Database Normalization best practices, database technologies, and concepts.
  • Skills: Strong Performance Tuning and Query Optimization skills, experience with SQL Server in Azure, and proficiency with SQL Development.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Real-world experience: Migrating SQL Server to Microsoft Azure.
  • High Availability: Establishing, configuring, and maintaining SQL Server AlwaysOn high availability.
  • Database Replication: Configuring and maintaining Microsoft SQL Server Replication in a production environment.
