Position Overview:

The primary role of this position is to deliver exceptional administrative assistance to the Admissions Office and its staff. The individual will handle a range of administrative tasks and operational support, acting as the initial point of contact for all prospective law students, applicants, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Admissions Office Support:
    • Oversee all incoming and outgoing communications from the main admissions email and manage the admissions phone line, providing essential information about the admissions process and law school offerings.
    • Screen communications for the associate dean and admissions directors.
    • Update applicants regarding their application status.
    • Assist applicants with website or database issues.
    • Perform basic operations in the admissions database, including document uploads and formatting.
    • Support the planning and execution of admissions events, including registration and coordination of tour groups, with occasional evening or weekend hours required.
  2. Mailings and Web Support:
    • Make necessary updates to web pages managed by the Admissions Office as directed.
    • Coordinate regular marketing mailings to prospects and applicants using the online database system.
    • Maintain accurate inventory records for admissions publications and materials.
    • Assemble and distribute admissions packets.
    • Manage the recruitment calendar and logistics for recruitment events.
  3. Travel and Visit Coordination:
    • Schedule visits for prospective students and other admissions visitors, including campus tours and meetings with faculty and staff.
    • Document data on campus visits for historical records.
    • Collect and process travel reimbursement documentation for admitted students.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma with three years of relevant experience.
  • Two years of experience with computer databases.
  • Three years of customer service experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience with customer relationship management systems.
  • Advanced skills in word processing and office software.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience working with diverse populations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience in an admissions office or academic processes.
  • Proficiency in website editing software.
  • Basic knowledge of graphic design software.
  • Experience using social media for professional purposes.

Work Schedule:

  • 37.5 hours per week, 9 months per year.
  • Non-exempt position.

Compensation:

  • Hourly rate: $25.73.
