Principal Civil Engineering Consultant

Brown and Caldwell is seeking a driven and experienced Senior Civil Site/Infrastructure Engineer to become a key member of our Civil Design Team. This role presents an excellent opportunity to engage in a dynamic consulting environment focused on growth and innovation. The successful candidate will contribute to a variety of projects serving municipal, industrial, and federal clients. We foster a collaborative, multi-disciplinary setting that encourages the development of creative and cost-efficient designs for new constructions, enhancements, upgrades, and retrofits.
Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will:
- Lead and support civil design efforts on projects of varying scales, collaborating closely with engineers and design personnel.
- Engage with structural, mechanical, process, and electrical engineers to integrate designs effectively.
- Manage project timelines and quality objectives while working with both local and remote team members.
- Participate in business development initiatives, including the preparation of civil scope and engineering effort estimates, while ensuring adherence to project budgets and schedules.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Bachelor's degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
- A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in civil design, particularly in municipal and industrial projects.
- A valid Professional Engineering license, with the ability to obtain licensure in additional states as required.
- Experience in coordinating with local permitting agencies for site and stormwater permits.
- Proficiency in standard software applications such as Microsoft Office and engineering design tools like AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
