Position Overview: We are seeking a Senior Civil Principal Engineer in Water Resources to be based in our office. This role is pivotal in managing a diverse range of projects that enhance public works and water resource systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee multiple civil engineering projects related to public works and water resources.
- Monitor project scope, budgets, and timelines to ensure contractual obligations are met while maintaining profitability.
- Implement quality assurance and quality control measures effectively.
- Utilize technical expertise to develop plans, specifications, and estimates for various water resource initiatives, including pipelines, pump stations, and reservoirs.
- Act as the primary liaison with clients to ensure project coordination and adherence to quality standards.
- Guide and mentor junior engineers on technical issues and best practices.
- Engage in business development activities to secure new projects and maintain client relationships.
- Participate in professional and community initiatives that enhance the Cannon brand.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
- A minimum of 15 years of experience in Civil Engineering, specifically in public works and water resources.
- At least 8 years of project management experience in relevant fields.
- Possession of a California Professional Engineer license.
- Proficient in civil engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil3D) and MS Office Suite.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects efficiently and deliver results on time and within budget.
- Experience in mentoring and resource management is advantageous.
