Zachry Group - Precision Millwright Role Overview

Qualifications Required:

  • Experience in the installation, repair, and upkeep of industrial machinery
  • Proficient in interpreting blueprints and engineering documents
  • Skilled in the use of industrial hand and power tools
  • Possession of essential Journeyman Precision Millwright hand tools
  • Minimum years of relevant industrial construction or maintenance experience
  • Access to reliable transportation is necessary

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with precision equipment such as ball mills, turbines, generators, and pumps
  • Develop and document the scope of work
  • Utilize precision instruments for accurate measurements and alignments
  • Disassemble and reassemble machinery as needed
  • Operate lathes, grinders, and other machine tools
  • Fabricate and install necessary components
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks
  • Adhere to the directives provided by supervisors

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Comprehension of load characteristics and hand signaling
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Effective problem-solving skills and manual dexterity
  • Knowledge of mathematics and geometry
  • Ability to lead and provide clear instructions
  • Good reading comprehension abilities
  • Team-oriented with the capability to work independently

  • Educational background or certification in a construction or technical discipline
  • Basic proficiency in computer usage
