Key Responsibilities

As a Lead Mechanical Technician, your duties will include:
  • Conducting repairs, replacements, and adjustments on mechanical equipment.
  • Performing general maintenance on a variety of machinery, including hydraulic systems and basic vehicle repairs.
  • Dismantling equipment to access and replace defective components, while assessing parts for quality.
  • Adjusting functional parts and control instruments to ensure proper operation.
  • Monitoring mechanical devices during operation to identify and resolve issues.
  • Utilizing conventional power tools and metalworking equipment for repairs and part fabrication.
  • Operating forklifts and other lifting equipment as necessary.
  • Repairing electrical systems and installing conduits as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:
  • Advanced knowledge of mechanical systems and maintenance practices.
  • Ability to interpret safety regulations, operating instructions, and technical manuals.
  • Proficiency in reading complex blueprints and specifications.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Experience with sophisticated machinery and plant equipment.
  • Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft software for communication and research.
  • Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.
Experience and Education Requirements

Applicants should have:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of ten years of experience in the machine tool industry.
  • Experience with hydraulic systems and the ability to read schematics.
  • Five years of relevant experience or a combination of education and experience.
Certifications

Preferred qualifications include:
  • CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Familiarity with the National Electrical Code.
