We are currently looking for a dedicated Senior Industrial Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our team in Sun Valley, CA. This role is essential for ensuring the operational efficiency and reliability of our machinery through effective troubleshooting, repairs, and scheduled maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain production and quality standards by overseeing the safe and efficient operation of machinery and mechanical support systems.
- Conduct preventive maintenance on production equipment, including pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems, following manufacturer specifications.
- Identify and resolve issues by engaging with operators, observing equipment performance, and applying systematic problem-solving techniques.
- Perform general electrical maintenance, including inspecting transformers, circuit breakers, and other electrical components.
- Troubleshoot electrical problems using appropriate testing instruments and repair or replace faulty equipment and wiring.
- Adhere to the National Electrical Code and local building regulations during all maintenance activities.
- Document maintenance actions and communicate any irregularities or equipment needs to ensure continuity across shifts.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following established procedures and utilizing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as necessary.
Additional Duties:
- Collaborate effectively within a team environment.
- Utilize cutting, welding, and fabrication skills with steel as required.
- Be prepared to work extended hours to meet production needs.
- Plan and document work accurately, including materials used and tasks performed.
- Take on other responsibilities as assigned based on operational requirements.
Required Skills:
- Proficient in automation equipment, including pneumatics, sensors, and relays.
- Ability to monitor equipment performance through observation of indicators and gauges.
- Strong troubleshooting skills to identify and address machine downtime and performance issues.
- Experience in installing and maintaining support equipment and machinery.
- Knowledge of routine maintenance practices and the ability to determine maintenance needs.
Experience and Education:
- 10-15 years of relevant job experience.
- 10-15 years of experience as an electrician.
- High School diploma or equivalent Trade School Training.
Physical Requirements:
Candidates must possess the physical stamina to perform tasks involving climbing, reaching, pushing, and lifting. Frequent activities include bending, sitting, and lifting objects under 20 lbs., while occasional tasks may involve lifting heavier items up to 100 lbs.
