Lead Configuration Management Analyst

Position Overview:

  • Become a vital member of a team dedicated to executing Configuration Management (CM) tasks related to the design, development, and production of intricate systems within a defense sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate autonomously and collaboratively to oversee modifications to sanctioned configurations through a structured and quantifiable change management process.
  • Produce and sustain the engineering technical data package (TDP), while implementing CM methodologies in alignment with the Configuration Management Plan.
  • Assist in configuration management and quality assessments, formulating solutions to challenges of moderate complexity, guided by organizational policies and procedures.
  • Articulate solutions, methodologies, and protocols to colleagues in accordance with established procedures, fostering and maintaining productive relationships with personnel across Engineering, Quality, Logistics, Procurement, and Manufacturing.

Required Experience:

  • A bachelor's degree in a technical field is typically required, along with 4+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience, preferably within the defense industry.

Essential Skills:

  • Proficient in database management and adept with the MS Office suite for generating relevant metrics, reports, and documentation.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with a keen attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective interaction and coordination with company staff, clients, and suppliers.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion.
  • General understanding of applicable configuration management and design engineering standards, manufacturing processes, and documentation, including military standards such as MIL-HDBK-61A, MIL-STD-31000, industry CM standard EIA-649, and/or drawing standards ASME Y14.24 and ASME Y14.100.

Educational Background:

  • A bachelor's degree in a technical discipline is typically expected, with a preference for a degree in Engineering.
