Position Overview

The Senior Director of Property Financing at F&A Federal Credit Union plays a pivotal role in overseeing the daily functions of the Real Estate Lending Division. This position is essential in cultivating a positive, collaborative, and communicative workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the real estate lending operations by proactively planning, developing, implementing, and managing all related policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and maintain up-to-date knowledge of real estate lending laws.
  • Gather, validate, review, and report HMDA LAR data in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and introduce innovative loan products to enhance service offerings.
  • Monitor and assess the performance of the real estate loan portfolio, focusing on growth, delinquency, and loss trends.
  • Review and underwrite complex loan applications in line with industry standards and regulatory guidelines.
  • Lead departmental meetings and provide insights on loan operations.
  • Conduct quality control reviews of loan processes and ensure adherence to established guidelines.
  • Direct the real estate loan functions, fostering an environment that maximizes staff productivity and efficiency.
  • Manage hiring, job assignments, scheduling, and performance monitoring of team members.
  • Facilitate training and development opportunities to ensure staff are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge.
  • Promote a culture of sales and cross-selling among team members to enhance member service.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of seven years of experience in financial institutions or credit unions, including supervisory roles.
  • Strong understanding of financial services products, operations, and regulatory compliance.
  • Proficient in relevant software applications (e.g., MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and motivate others.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to evaluate and prioritize tasks effectively within tight deadlines.
  • Commitment to high-quality service and integrity in decision-making.
