As a member of our dynamic team, you will play a crucial role in leading our Adoption Associates and ensuring that every adoption experience is memorable and positive. We are seeking individuals who are driven by results, possess excellent communication skills, and are deeply customer-focused.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster a collaborative environment by effectively engaging with staff and volunteers to achieve HSSV's mission and ensure exceptional adoption experiences.
  • Exemplify outstanding customer service and cultivate an atmosphere of enthusiasm, compassion, and support for all stakeholders.
  • Utilize metrics to identify areas for improvement and ensure the successful implementation of relevant programs and training initiatives.
  • Work alongside internal teams to maintain a comprehensive approach to service delivery for adoptions and the overall welfare of animals.
  • Inspire and motivate the team to explore innovative ways to connect adoptable pets with potential adopters.
  • Train, mentor, and supervise staff and volunteers, managing scheduling, conflict resolution, and performance assessments.
  • Assist in the hiring process, onboarding, and training of new staff members.
  • Participate in department meetings and represent the team in various organizational discussions.
  • Engage in community outreach events to enhance HSSV's visibility and impact.
  • Manage financial transactions and ensure accuracy in cash handling procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the team and organizational goals.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a leadership role within a customer service environment, preferably in veterinary or animal-related settings.
  • Strong collaborative skills and experience working with cross-functional teams.
  • Commitment to diversity and a passion for setting adopters up for success.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to project management.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated compassion and confidence in discussing sensitive topics related to animal welfare.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently and lead others effectively.
  • Physical capability to interact safely with a variety of animals and perform necessary tasks.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Work Schedule:
This is a full-time position that requires availability on weekends and may include evenings and holidays to meet the needs of HSSV.
