Join the Apex Group Team as a Private Equity Fund Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Private Equity Fund Accountant to join our team at the Apex Group. As a key member of our fund accounting team, you will be responsible for managing all accounting functions for our private equity clients, including general ledger, payroll, accounts payable, capital calls, investments, distributions, management fees, and intercompany reimbursements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all accounting functions for private equity clients, including general ledger, payroll, accounts payable, capital calls, investments, distributions, management fees, and intercompany reimbursements.
  • Establish effective controls, policies, and systems to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Provide quarterly and annual financial reports covering sales, earnings, profits, cash balances, and other financial results in accordance with GAAP.
  • Maintain general and subsidiary ledgers of the company, financial statements, bank reconciliation, general tax reports, and year-end close.
  • Manage vendor relationships and monitor bank account balances and transfers funds between accounts.
  • Prepare payroll for exempt and non-exempt employees and perform special projects as requested.
Requirements:
  • BS/BA in accounting or finance or equivalent with a minimum of 5-7 years related experience and at least one year in a supervisory position.
  • CPA or MBA a plus.
  • Knowledge of GAAP and solid accounting, finance, and analytical skills.
  • Systems and operational skills, including proficiency with Excel and accounting software.
  • Written and oral communication, including ability to communicate effectively with non-financial managers and all levels of personnel.
  • Time management and organizational skills.
  • Energetic, flexible team player with the ability to multi-task and juggle multiple shifting priorities.
