Lead Cybersecurity Systems Engineer

Position Overview:

Nightwing is on the lookout for a Lead Cybersecurity Systems Engineer to enhance our team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the security and integrity of our advanced communication systems.

Role Responsibilities:

• Engage in cybersecurity initiatives focused on protected communications, applying the Risk Management Framework (RMF) for critical systems.

• Collaborate in the design and execution of System Security Engineering (SSE) solutions tailored for our products.

• Provide guidance on SSE implementation tasks and support system development plans, tracking progress, and identifying risks.

• Liaise with clients to ascertain SSE requirements, solutions, and potential impacts on system effectiveness.

• Assist stakeholders with SSE architecture and address any related issues.

• Work alongside integration and testing teams during cybersecurity evaluations and documentation processes.

• Support cryptography certification processes in collaboration with relevant authorities.

• Conduct threat modeling and assessments for critical program information.

• Formulate top-level system requirements and cascade them down to subsystems.

Essential Qualifications:

• Proven experience in embedded software design, electrical engineering, or systems engineering.

• Background in computer technology reverse engineering, anti-tamper measures, or embedded security.

• Ability to generate security requirements and develop design and architecture documentation.

• Familiarity with applying RMF to embedded systems.

• A degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) is typically required, along with relevant experience.

• ACTIVE SECRET Security Clearance REQUIRED

• U.S. citizenship is mandatory for security clearance eligibility.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the design and deployment of SSE systems.

• Knowledge of attack threat modeling and critical program information assessments.

• Familiarity with software, firmware, microelectronics engineering, cryptography, and FPGA design.
