As a Tax Advisory Manager, you will lead a team of Advisors and Supervisors dedicated to supporting a varied clientele of small business proprietors and entrepreneurs.

Your role encourages innovative thinking to refine processes and foster a culture of creativity, experimentation, and the application of new strategies to improve operations and systems.

Success in this position will be evaluated based on client retention rates, overall client satisfaction, and performance metrics of your team.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Engagement:


Oversee a team that establishes enduring relationships with small business owners through effective communication, offering compassionate support throughout their financial journey.

Evaluate client feedback and industry trends to pinpoint areas for enhancement and initiate strategies that boost client satisfaction and loyalty within your team.

Your performance will be assessed on your ability to enhance client retention and drive revenue growth, particularly focusing on increasing net revenue retention from refunds and renewals among your advisory clients.

Manage a group of Client Advisors and Supervisors assisting a diverse range of small business owners and entrepreneurs across various sectors.
Ensure that advisors deliver expert advice on compliance with federal and state regulations while maximizing tax savings for our clients.

Innovative Leadership:
Promote and participate in a culture of innovation, experimentation, and the application of new strategies to enhance processes and systems.
Actively pursue opportunities for improvement, recognizing that experimentation is essential for advancement.

Talent Acquisition and Development:
Conduct interviews and evaluations to identify and recruit potential tax advisors for your team.
Work alongside the Senior Director of Advisory to assess individual strengths and weaknesses within the team, fostering continuous improvement to align with the company's objectives.
Supervision and Performance Management:
Oversee Client Advisors and Advisory Supervisors managing a diverse portfolio of small business owners and entrepreneurs.
Ensure adherence to federal and state regulations while optimizing tax savings for our clients.
Take responsibility for providing constructive feedback to tax advisors and cultivating strong relationships to enhance the overall client experience.

Guidance and Platform Expertise:


Assist Client Advisors in navigating the company platform, processes, and technologies, ensuring they are knowledgeable and capable of delivering exceptional service.

Provide ongoing support to both new and existing advisors, promoting a culture of continuous learning and development.

Task Alignment and Metrics:
Accountable for following up with the team to ensure tasks align with client goals and objectives, emphasizing client-centric outcomes.

Take ownership of driving client retention and maximizing revenue growth, focusing on increasing net revenue retention from refunds and renewals across all advisory clients.

Collaborate with the Senior Director of Advisory to achieve and surpass OKRs and targeted metrics for an optimal client experience.

Requirements:
A relevant degree or a combination of education and tax experience
Enrolled Agent License and/or CPA Certification (preferred)
2+ years of experience in personal and small business taxation
Proficiency in related technologies; spreadsheets, tax preparation, and bookkeeping software
Demonstrated leadership skills

Expertise in spreadsheets, tax preparation, and bookkeeping software, with advanced capabilities in utilizing technology for tax optimization and strategic analysis.

Ability to adapt to changes in processes and systems while staying informed on the latest tax codes, particularly those affecting tax strategy and planning.
