Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled IT System Administrator to join our team at ONICON Measurement Solutions. As a key member of our technical staff, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance for our computer systems, networks, and software applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for computer hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Deploy, configure, and upgrade PC desktops and laptops with Microsoft and engineering application software.
  • Procure and manage IT equipment and supplies, including computers, printers, peripherals, and toner.
  • Manage and track IT licensing for compliance, including Microsoft, Adobe, Solidworks, and AutoCAD.
  • Conduct user training on Office, Outlook, and Remote VPN.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve IT technical issues, including PC's, printers, cellphones, phone system, Windows servers, standard application software, and network connectivity.
  • Lead IT-related projects for business departments in multiple disciplines.
  • Evaluate, propose, implement, and manage software and hardware solutions to ensure data integrity.
  • Design server file share and application security across the enterprise.
  • Perform system software upgrades on PC's and servers.
  • User provisioning administration, including Windows account, Active Directory, Security Groups, Folder Access.
  • Email, user, distribution groups, security groups.
  • Cellphones.
  • Web/audio conferencing.
  • Ability to backup and restore servers.
  • Disaster Recovery Planning.
  • Assist remote users with connectivity issues.
  • Maintain IT documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
  • CompTIA A+ Essentials certification.
  • Microsoft MTA IT Infrastructure certification minimum - MCSE preferred.
  • Self-motivated, resourceful, independent working habits.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Passionate about technology and follows current trends.
  • The desire to continually train and upgrade skills related to current and future technologies.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree or 5 years minimum experience.
  • Dell Hardware experience preferred.
