Accounting Manager

The Senior Financial Accountant at MedReview is responsible for overseeing daily high-level accounting functions within the organization, ensuring the accurate and timely recording of financial transactions and the preparation of comprehensive financial statements. This role is integral to the finance team and reports directly to the Finance Director. The ideal candidate will possess significant experience in transaction recording, monthly closing activities, general ledger management, and account reconciliations.
Key Responsibilities
This list is not exhaustive; candidates should be prepared to take on additional responsibilities as needed to support the department and MedReview as a whole.
- Oversee daily banking operations to detect fraudulent activities and manage new ACH debit payees.
- Communicate with Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable regarding financial activities pertinent to each unit.
- Document all miscellaneous deposits and withdrawals unrelated to AR or AP in the NetSuite system.
- Generate client invoices based on supporting documentation.
- Initiate payments via Bill Pay, Wire, ACH, and internal transfers, and manage ACH payment processes through online banking.
- Assist the Finance Director with the 401K audit process.
- Contribute to the preparation of monthly financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Conduct bank reconciliations, address reconciling items, and record banking transactions.
- Prepare and submit retirement plan transactions to the relevant plan.
- Maintain internal records of retirement plan contributions and provide calculations for fund transfers to third-party administrators.
- Coordinate annual and periodic audits of financial statements; gather necessary documentation for the audit process.
- Support third-party accounting firms in the preparation and submission of Federal, State, and local tax forms.
- Assist in the company's annual budgeting process.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- In-depth knowledge of financial and cost accounting principles, as well as GAAP.
- Proficiency in accounting software applications.
- Competence in Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent software.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
- Experience with Namely and NetSuite is preferred.
- A minimum of five years of professional accounting experience.
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- Ability to comprehend visual and auditory information for effective communication.
- Manual dexterity to operate computers and other office equipment necessary for assigned tasks.
- Capability to navigate various environments and overcome architectural barriers in office and community settings.
- Access to public transportation for commuting purposes.
- In-office work required Monday through Thursday.
- High-speed internet connection (300 Mbps or higher) with secure Wi-Fi.

- Ability to sit and use a computer keyboard for extended periods.
