Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Service Manager to join our team at Dobbs Equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the service department, ensuring seamless operations, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of service technicians, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery.
  • Manage and maintain detailed records of service operations, including time and performance metrics.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction, loyalty, and retention.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and effective communication.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, product improvements, and technical advancements to maintain expertise and provide informed guidance.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols, regulations, and company policies.
  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics to drive business growth and improvement.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in service operations leadership, customer-focused, analytical, and effective communication skills.
  • Managerial experience in a similar industry or field.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills to develop and retain a high-performing team.
  • Strong business acumen, including financial management, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, build strong relationships, and foster a positive and inclusive work culture.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as business administration, industrial engineering, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications, such as Six Sigma, Lean, or project management.
  • Experience with industry-specific software, tools, and technologies.
Work Environment

The Service Manager will work in a fast-paced service environment, interacting with customers, technicians, and other stakeholders. The role requires strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills to ensure seamless service delivery and exceptional customer experiences.

Physical Demands

The Service Manager will be required to work in a service environment, which may involve standing, walking, bending, and lifting. The role may also require working in a variety of weather conditions, including extreme temperatures, humidity, and noise levels.
