POSITION SUMMARY:

Baskerville-Donovan, Inc. is seeking a Junior Civil Engineer to join our expanding team of experts. Under the guidance of the Federal Market Director, this role involves supporting the design, development, execution, and assessment of civil engineering initiatives, particularly those associated with federal infrastructure programs.

The ideal candidate will engage in site assessments, engineering analyses, and design tasks for projects awarded to Baskerville-Donovan. This position offers a strategic career opportunity for an individual with the passion and drive to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team focused on delivering innovative infrastructure solutions for federal civil projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Commitment to positively impacting the communities we serve.
  • Foundational engineering expertise in roadway, parking, aviation, and site designs.
  • Basic knowledge of stormwater management, drainage systems, and conveyance methods.
  • Understanding of water supply distribution systems.
  • Familiarity with wastewater collection and treatment processes.
  • Awareness of permitting processes with relevant agencies to ascertain federal, state, and local requirements, along with assisting in the preparation of permit applications and supporting documents.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a team of engineers and support personnel.
  • Preparation of technical documentation, specifications, and reports under the supervision of a direct manager.
  • Strong interest in networking and fostering enduring client relationships.
  • Participation in meetings with staff, clients, and stakeholders as necessary.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft 365 is advantageous.

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
  • 0-2 years of relevant experience in civil engineering or a related field.
  • Eligibility to obtain engineering licensure in the State of Alabama and Florida (must have passed the FE Exam).
