POSITION SUMMARY:

Baskerville-Donovan, Inc. is seeking a Junior Civil Engineering Associate to become a vital part of our expanding team of experts. Under the guidance of the Federal Market Director, the selected candidate will assist in the design, development, and evaluation of civil engineering projects. Our clientele primarily includes federal infrastructure initiatives, particularly with the Army Corps of Engineers, covering various civil engineering disciplines.

The ideal candidate will engage in engineering assessments, design tasks, and cost analysis related to awarded projects, contributing to our mission of delivering exceptional infrastructure solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Demonstrate a commitment to improving the communities we serve.
  • Apply fundamental engineering principles in stormwater management, drainage systems, and conveyance methods.
  • Utilize basic engineering knowledge in water supply distribution networks.
  • Assist in navigating permitting processes with relevant agencies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Collaborate effectively with a team of engineers and support personnel.
  • Prepare technical documentation and progress reports as directed by supervisors.
  • Foster strong client relationships through networking and communication.
  • Participate in meetings with team members, clients, contractors, and vendors as necessary.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and Microsoft 365 is advantageous.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
  • 0-2 years of relevant experience in the field.
  • Eligibility to obtain a State of Alabama Engineering license (either have passed the FE Exam or plan to take it).
