Job Summary:

The Hotel Investment Services is seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Food Preparation: Assist in preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, including main courses, desserts, and appetizers.
  • Kitchen Operations: Assist with stocking and setting up kitchen stations, ensuring that all necessary ingredients and equipment are available.
  • Plating and Presentation: Prepare and present dishes according to the executive chef's guidance, ensuring that all dishes are visually appealing and meet the hotel's high standards.
  • Teamwork: Work closely with servers and other kitchen staff to ensure that orders are completed accurately and on time.
  • Food Safety and Hygiene: Ensure that all kitchen operations meet food safety standards and regulations, maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Requirements:

  • Positive Attitude and Teamwork: Demonstrate a positive attitude and a commitment to teamwork, providing excellent customer service and supporting colleagues at all times.
  • Culinary Experience: Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred, but a willingness to learn and take on new challenges is required.
  • Availability: Must be available to work weekends and holidays, as well as flexible hours during peak periods.
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to stand for prolonged periods and work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Seasonal Position: This is a seasonal position lasting no more than 6 months.
  • Wage Range: $17 to $22 per hour, based on experience.
