Construction Safety Specialist

As a Construction Safety Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to safeguard the well-being of team members, subcontractors, and the public throughout our premier projects.
This role is pivotal in fostering a culture of safety while upholding Clark's Safety and Health Policy alongside applicable local and federal safety regulations on construction sites.
You will engage in safety training in collaboration with project leaders to formulate secure work strategies for all project phases and tasks.
To us, the success of any project is defined by its safety standards.Key Responsibilities
- Promote and uphold the Clark safety ethos on-site
- Supervise and guarantee the safety of all personnel, subcontractors, and the public
- Implement corporate and project-specific safety and health initiatives, adhering to federal, state, and local safety regulations
- Recognize existing or potential hazards and propose corrective measures
- Design, coordinate, and execute tailored safety programs for each project
- Collaborate with field management to integrate safety risk mitigation strategies into project planning
- Create project-specific safety training for site personnel, including subcontractors, based on upcoming tasks or recent safety trends
- Establish a safety vision and align the team to achieve a secure working environment for all
- Conduct third-party safety evaluations, including OSHA inspections
Essential Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant safety experience in construction, with a degree in safety and health (or a related field) or proven construction safety experience
- Strong communication skills to influence supervisors, colleagues, and external stakeholders
- Evidence of training and experience in managing safety protocols for cranes, fall protection, excavation, scaffolding, and heavy machinery
- Proficiency in handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- A proactive, energetic, and data-driven approach to meeting both individual and organizational goals while balancing immediate and long-term objectives

Preferred Qualifications
- OSHA 30 Hour certification
- CHST or CSP credentials
- First Aid/CPR certification
