Position Summary
The Site Safety Manager plays a crucial role in supporting both the Project Staff and the Clayco safety team, ensuring adherence to corporate safety and health standards in line with Federal, State, and Local regulations.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the development of the project safety program.
- Conduct jobsite orientations for new employees and maintain records of participation.
- Attend initial meetings with project staff and subcontractors to clarify roles within the safety program.
- Oversee larger projects valued up to $160M and interface with clients.
- Manage other Clayco Safety Supervisors on the project.
- Facilitate pre-planning safety meetings with subcontractor representatives to establish safety protocols.
- Conduct regular safety meetings with subcontractors and project staff to ensure compliance.
- Provide training for site personnel to meet OSHA and Clayco standards.
- Maintain a log of toolbox safety meetings conducted by subcontractors.
- Review subcontractor safety programs to ensure they meet project requirements.
- Ensure each subcontractor has a trained safety representative.
- Perform daily and weekly jobsite inspections, documenting safety violations and corrective actions.
- Report and prepare documentation for any safety violations or unsafe practices.
- Collaborate with the Project Superintendent to implement fire prevention and control procedures.
- Investigate incidents and generate comprehensive reports.
- Maintain all required safety records and conduct monthly safety meetings.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
- 10-19 years of safety experience in building construction, with a solid understanding of safety principles and techniques.
- Minimum of 10 years of field experience.
- OSHA 30-hour construction accreditation; OSHA 500 Outreach Trainer certification is a plus.
- Strong management, leadership, and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Physical ability to navigate construction sites, including climbing ladders and negotiating work areas.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and work at heights.

Work Environment
- Moderate to very loud noise levels are typical.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
