Position Overview

The selected candidate will collaborate with other field technicians to provide exceptional service for the Company's Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) systems at various client locations, particularly in marine environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and service cryogenic pumping systems, mechanical piping, valves, and pressure relief systems.
  • Oversee the operation and maintenance of Mobile LNG equipment and facilitate delivery truck transfers to marine vessels.
  • Identify components on piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID) and locate them in the field.
  • Comprehend service manuals, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and other company documentation.
  • Take direction from engineers and technical support staff to troubleshoot issues effectively.
  • Conduct system commissioning activities and perform regular monitoring and inspections.
  • Operate LNG systems in outdoor settings, sometimes under challenging weather conditions.
  • Assemble and disassemble critical machinery using hand and power tools.
  • Read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine troubleshooting paths.
  • Adhere to safety, environmental, and regulatory procedures established by the company and the U.S. Coast Guard.
  • Complete training and certification requirements as assigned.
  • Follow Log Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures to ensure safe work practices.
  • Work independently with remote supervision.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED; technical, electrical, or mechanical certification is advantageous.
  • Minimum one year of experience in the petroleum or chemical industry; LNG and/or cryogenic experience is preferred.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to identify components on P&ID diagrams.
  • Experience with cryogenic refrigeration and gas processing is desirable.
  • Capable of working independently in demanding industrial environments.
  • Comfortable working on live equipment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic mathematical computations.
  • Effective in following written and verbal instructions.
  • Self-motivated with strong time management skills.
  • Able to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Skilled in establishing and maintaining professional relationships.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.

Working Environment

  • Job activities include standing, sitting, driving, lifting, and carrying objects.
  • Work is primarily conducted outdoors, which may involve uncomfortable climate conditions.
  • Extended work hours are typical, with varying schedules based on project needs.
  • Field office equipment such as PCs, tablets, and radios will be utilized.
  • Travel to various sites may be required, with travel expenses reimbursed per company policy.
